Ok, since a couple of you have asked.. here is my processing break down on this one.
First, let me say my friend Glenn T. suggested that I try some new lighting techniques and try to work out some more dramatic shadows.. With that in mind these were shot with just my sigma shoe flash bounced straight up.
I always start with the eyes.
Mask and copy the iris to a new layer and set to screen.
Dodge and burn the screen layer to diverse the coloring.
Paste iris again on 3rd layer, set to "overlay" and run a high pass filter on it.. really makes them pop!
Then I masked and copied all the shiny things! Bracelet, rings, earings and such and pasted to a 4th layer set to "overlay" with a high strength HP filter, makes them stand out and shine.
Duplicate the background layer and run noise ninja to smooth it out some, around "10"..
Then Erase @ 50% the areas I don't want smooth like hair and wall texture.
Merge the smooth layer with background, then duplicate and set to "soft light" to enhance shadow and color.. I usually run the "shadow / highlight" to bring some light back in...
Duplicate the background 1 more time and run lucisart to enhance texture on the walls and chair, then erase the model from this layer so she shows through smooth.
That's about it so far as I can recall.. I process everything differently and feel my way through till I'm happy with the image.

Whilst out in the car I chanced across this wheat field dotted with round bales of straw. Luckily I had the camera with me and so I quickly took some shots before the storm broke. Minutes after this shot was taken the rain arrived, accompanied by the odd clap of thunder - and so summer departs in style! This image has been subjected to quite a lot of post-processing, mainly due to the poor light creating drab colours. The image was initially blended with a high pass layer, and then was followed immediately by an overlay of a duplicate layer. Thereafter a few adjustments with contrast and exposure were made to bring out the remaining detail in the sky, and finally a warm filter was added to blend the sky and the land together. It is quite a bold shot and will not appeal to everyone, but it is one that I am especially pleased with :-)
